This playful little dog is Dexter, a year and a half year old male beagle/terrier mix. He is a small to medium size dog, weighing 25 pounds. He has a handsome red and white smooth coat and cute beagle ears. Dexter was pulled from our local animal shelter where he had been picked up by Animal Control and no one came to claim him. We adopted him out about a year ago but he was returned to us due to being somewhat territorial and protective of his owners and they did not want to chance that around their grandchildren. Dexter is a very friendly, happy fun dog. And like most beagles, he must have a fenced yard because he will take off to follow a scent and may not come back home! Dexter may not do well in an apartment because he has a good bit of energy and beagles can be a tad vocal. This cute boy loves to play with other dogs. He is extremely loving to his family members but takes a little time to warm up to new folks. He is good with children but they must be over 12 years old if in the household. Dexter is crate and house trained. Dexter is up to date on his vet care, neutered, and is microchipped. He is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
