The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. We are closed to the public on weekdays. We're an all-volunteer group and need advance notice to schedule appointments, therefore weekday appointments are available to schedule for adoption applicants only. The adoption process begins by submitting an adoption application (link found below). We do not adopt same-day, no exceptions. Before choosing a pet, we recommend meeting the animal first. For information on a specific animal, please visit our adoption center or email us at [email removed]! This sweet little lady is Amadu, a chubby and sweet little female Calico kitten. Amadu is approximately 9 months old (as of 4/29/14). Amadu is a friendly and sociable little girl, but would like to get to know her new friends first. Amadu is easy to handle, but would do better around children ages 10 and up. We would recommend a trial adoption for a home with dogs. Amadu is negative for FeLK/FIV, current on rabies/FeLK vaccinations and spayed. Stop by our cat adoption center to meet Amadu and more adoptable cats and kittens! Negative for FIV and FeLK, current on vaccinations and spayed. Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters.
