The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. We are closed to the public on weekdays. We're an all-volunteer group and need advance notice to schedule appointments, therefore weekday appointments are available to schedule for adoption applicants only. The adoption process begins by submitting an adoption application (link found below). We do not adopt same-day, no exceptions. Before choosing a pet, we recommend meeting the animal first. This very handsome young guy is Chachi, a slightly fuzzy medium-haired gray and white male with really interesteing blue and white coloring. He's a "teenager" around 1 1/2 years old (as of April xxxx). Chachi is a fun, sweet and loving young guy! He's playful and loves attention! He does have playfulness, but he's actually more of a low-energy and gentle guy. He should do well with other friendly cats, but we don't know about dogs. He would do well around children who can handle him gently. Contact us or visit our cat adoption center to meet Chachi! Negative for FIV/FeLK, current on vaccinations and neutered. Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.).
