The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. We are closed to the public on weekdays. We're an all-volunteer group and need advance notice to schedule appointments, therefore weekday appointments are available to schedule for adoption applicants only. The adoption process begins by submitting an adoption application (link found below). We do not adopt same-day, no exceptions. Before choosing a pet, we recommend meeting the animal first. Please meet Mimi, a very pretty silver/charcoal gray tabby adult female with gorgeous round yellow eyes. Mimi is an adult around 3-4 years of age. Mimi is a quiet, gentle and even-tempered girl, perfect for cuddling and companionship. She would do well around another cat or two, and may bond with another cat she really likes. But she does get a bit nervous around more dominant personalities. Mimi would love to be an only pet, too. Mimi should do well around older children who wouldn't mind just petting her. We wouldn't recommend her in a home with dogs. Visit our cat adoption center or contact us to meet Mimi! Negative for FIV and FeLK, current on vaccinations and spayed. Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses.
