The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at xxxx Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're an all-volunteer group and need advance notice to schedule appointments. We cannot accept same-day appointments. To adopt, we need to receive a completed application for review (online application found at www.humanesocietyofwa.org). Some animals may be in foster homes. This beautiful fluffball is Ninja, a medium-haired orange and white young female with a feathery plume tail. She displays several Maine Coon characteristics, but she would definitely be a mix. The majority of her fur is much shorter than a more common Maine Coon mix's, though her plume tail and tipped Lynx ears stand out. She could also be a Turkish Van mix, though their orange coloring is generally isolated to the tail and one small spot on their head. Whatever her mix is, she is certainly an interesting and beautiful girl! She's actually very small for her age - just 6 pounds! Ninja is a gentle, sweet young girl, estimated at just under a year old. She's been very gentle and laid-back at our cat adoption center, and friendly with other cats. She may be a little too shy at the moment to socialize much yet, but we believe she would do well with one or two other cats. She'd be happy as an only pet, too. We don't recommend her around dogs. Ninja should do well with older children who can just pet her and treat her very gently, though she would adjust much better in a quieter and calmer home. Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses.
